About

KNDS had its first official broadcast on October 11th, 2004, under the name "ThunderRadio." At that time, KNDS was affiliated with the (now independent) Radio Free Fargo (KRFF.)

KNDS went through major rebranding in 2026 when it was discovered that all previous KNDS operators had graduated. Students Jonah S. and Eli K-M. became Co-General Managers, later recuriting Sophia H. as Treasurer/Secretary and "Professionalism Consultant."
